Dad’s Birthday Weekend!

Hello my loves!! Sorry I went MIA this weekend.  I have had so much going on, it’s been hard to even get on the computer!! I am back though, so no worrying!  Well this friday was my amazing dads birthday!!! LOVE HIM!

Birthday Drinks anyone??

Our friday started off with a trip to Sol Y Luna in Woodland Hills!  We went for an early lunch.  This place is one of the best mexican restaurants in LA! If you are in the area….go now, thank me later!!

I went with the grilled fish tacos!

Side of rice and black beans!

Is your mouth watering yet?

One of the best things about this restaurant is they give you a sombrero on your birthday!! (not to keep)

My Grandpa, Aunts & Uncles, and Parents!

After lunch we went on a little shopping trip to Neiman Marcus in Beverly Hills! I had a gift card, so I got myself some new sunglasses!!

You likey??

I love that they have a slight cat eye shape!! LOVING these!!

We finished the night off with a trip to one of our dance studios, where they had a cake for my dad!! It was also one of the instructors birthday’s, so we sang to both of them!

Happy Birthday Kurt & Russell!

After we did some karaoke at the bar next door…but no pictures were taken because I was too busy singing all night!! SO MUCH FUN!! Love you Dad!!

If you thought the birthday festivities ended there…you would be wrong!  We went the next day for Brunch at The London Hotel in West Hollywood!  All the restaurants in the hotel are Gordon Ramsay! Both of my Uncle’s are April birthdays, so this was a celebration for the three of them!

Looks at this awesome menu!

What would you have ordered?

I went with the Huevos Rancheros!

It was even better than it looks!

The best part was that the bottom was a crunchy tostada topped with beans!! This was an addition to the dish that I’ve never had before!! I plan to recreate this at home, so be ready for an awesome recipe!

The birthday boys!

It was an awesome brunch, and it was even better to spend the day with my family!! I have the best family in the world! We spent the day lounging by the pool and just having  blast!!

We also ended up eating dinner in the Gordon Ramsay restaurant!

My order:

Spinach Salad, Shrimp, Scallops, and Avocado.

This may be one of the best salads I have ever had!! Gordon Ramsay is no joke! His restaurants kick a**!

Well now I am back to reality!!!

Oats in a jar!!

You have no idea how excited I was when my Justin’s hazelnut butter was on it’s last leg.  I knew these OIAJ would be amazing!!

Steel cut oats, banana, rice puff cereal!

I die!! So decadent yet guilt free!!

I am now back to my regular posting schedule! I missed you all way too much to stay away that long!!

Have you ever been to a Gordon Ramsay Restaurant??

What’s your favorite dish to order at a mexican restaurant??

So, I had Justin’s chocolate hazelnut butter for the first time today and I’m in love! I don’t know what took me soo long to try it!

Whenever we dine at a Mexican restaurant I love getting fajitas! Protein + veggies! 🙂

  2. Hahaha your dad is so fun. Happy Belated to him! It looks like you guys had quite the celebrations going on. LOVIN the sombrero. I honestly don’t think I’ve ever really been to a good real Mexican restaurant… I know, sad right?! I could definitely go for some kind of giant bean burrito right about now though.

  7. Glad to have you back! Happy B-day to your dad, what an awesome birthday weekend. I’ve never tried jusin’s nut butter before but I love any kind of oiaj 😀

  8. I love huevos rancheros! The mexican food around here isn’t very authentic so I usually order a kids meal with rice and cheese enchilada or cheese quesadilla, since most everything else on the menu isn’t vegetarian friendly. But at places that are I really love southwestern salads and veggie versions of tacos, quesadilla, enchilada, etc.

  9. Whoa! Awesome birthday weekend for you dad!
